Keep on keepin’ on. Fear of changing what’s going on in the bedroom.
Anyone can risk feeling unhappy with their sex life. How often do we sit with what we are given, even if we spark for more or difference? Why do we self abandon the sexual?
why is cultural and personal. You could be burnt out, malpracticed at self care, or simply in what TICK calls a “fuck it” (Trauma-Informed Consensual Kink) to an unhealthy dynamic. A fuck-it can end a kink scene, because it’s the call of an important boundary about how much work you will do on a triggering environment. “The ‘Fuck It’ response represents a deliberate self aware choice to let go, pause, disengage, or pivot from a situation with clarity and sovereinty” Maybe your whole relationship is a rough bdsm scene, lacking compassion or respectful communication, and your body has wisdom to opt out of bedroom conversations.
When the care is there, fear can still override. Who’s afraid to talk about sex? I am. Who’s afraid of their own sexuality and desire? I am. I am finally preparing myself to be unafraid and to listen. Because I need to listen. It is not bad to have unexplored desires. It is not bad to not know your body. These are normal things. So how can we receive influence, wisdom and teachings that lead to listening then voice? Who can get you to speak up, yourself, somebody else or combo? What makes the time right?
